 When our daughter
Alexa was diagnosed with autism in February 2003, we learned immediately
that helping our child would be a mammoth challenge. Programs are
sparse, and obtaining a space is almost impossible. If we were lucky
enough to get a space, our financial obligations would be critical to the
school's ability to provide adequate services, and additional expenses would
mount. Most families can not bear the burden.

Autism is a developmental
disability that typically appears during the first three years of life,
as a result of a neurological disorder that affects the functioning of
the brain. Autism and its associated behaviors occur in approximately 1
in 150 individuals.

We are excited to announce that planning has begun for our 2009 fundraiser
which will take place on Friday night May 8,2009. This year we will be
trying something totally different to provide our loyal guests with a new
